Codes of Conduct
Fakenham Cricket Club is committed to maintaining the highest standards of behavior and conduct. This Code of Conduct incorporates the Spirit of Cricket as set out below. It applies to all matches played by Fakenham Cricket Club.
· The Captains are responsible at all times for ensuring that play is conducted within the Spirit of Cricket as well as within the Laws.
· Players are responsible at all times ensuring that they abide with the Captain's decision.
· Players and Team Officials must at all times accept the Umpire's decision. Players must not show dissent at the Umpire's decision or react in a provocative or disapproving manner towards an Umpire at any time.
· Players and Team Officials shall not intimidate assault or attempt to intimidate or assault an Umpire, another player or a spectator.
· Players and Team Officials shall not use crude and/or abusive language nor make offensive gestures or hand signals nor deliberately distract an opponent.
· Players and Team officials shall not make racially abusive comments nor indulge in racially abusive actions against fellow players, officials, members and supporters. Fakenham Cricket Club operates an active open door membership policy whilst respecting player qualification regulations and welcome players/members irrespective of ethnic origin.

Players and Team Officials shall not use or in any way be concerned in the use or distribution of illegal drugs.

Fakenham Cricket Club takes adequate steps to ensure the good behavior of our members and supporters towards players and Umpires.

Players Contract

· Players will be expected to inform the selection committee of their availability by at least Tuesday 4pm preceding the weekend’s game. Availability can be marked on the Availability chart posted in the home dressing room or on the club website.  
· It is the player’s responsibility to check the team sheet to find out which team there are playing in.  NOT THE CAPTAINS.  This will be available at the ground from a Tuesday night and posted on the club website.
· Players are required to attend training sessions where possible and for 1st & 2nd to let someone know if they cannot attend.
· Players before the start of the season will have paid their membership fees.  This is to validate your sports insurance that the club provides.  You are NOT insured if your membership has not been paid and the club is not liable for any injury that you might incur.
· Match subs must be paid to the Captain on match days.
· All players must abide by the Clubs Code of Conduct.
· Players consistently calling off at late notice cannot be guaranteed a game of cricket at the weekend.
· Player must bring to the attention of their Captain any concerns their may have.


Captains Contract


· All Captains will be expected to inform the selection committee if they are unable to play as soon as possible. Any unavailable dates can be marked on the Availability chart in the home changing room or on the club website.
· All Captains must attend Tuesday evening team selection. It is then the Captain responsibility to post the teams on the notice board on a Tuesday evening and update the web site.
· All Captains are to attend training sessions where possible and let someone know if they cannot attend.
· All Captains before the start of the season must have paid their membership fees.  This is to validate your sports insurance that the club provides. You are NOT insured if your membership has not been paid and the club is not liable for any injury that you might incur.
· Captains are to collect match fees from all players on match days. Then to pay out expenses. To complete a balance sheet and hand in with monies at the end of each month.
· It is the Captains responsibility to phone their league with the match result at the end of the days play.
· All Captains must abide by the Clubs Code of Conduct.
· Captains must bring to the attention of the committee any concerns they, or their players may have.
